Crossford Primary School is situated in the village of Crossford, which is three miles to the west of Dunfermline. The catchment area extends beyond the village boundary to the South as far as Glendevon Chicken Farm and to the North to admit any children living in Backmuir Farm houses. The school also has a significant number of placing requests from outwith its catchment area. Crossford School was built in 1973. It is a semi-open plan building with ten teaching areas. There is a large grassed football pitch and space for other activities to take place at the same time. A hard surfaced playground surrounds the school and is marked with several games such as hopscotch, etc. The school aims to create a positive ethos where there is a safe, relaxed and happy learning and teaching environment with pupils encouraged and motivated to give of their best.
