Pittencrieff Primary School is situated in an old part of Dunfermline to the north of Pittencrieff Park. Pittencrieff Park was gifted to Dunfermline by Andrew Carnegie. The school opened in 1876 and has a history of its own. The school building is an attractive Victorian building with an upper quadrangle around the central hall. The nursery and infant classes are on the ground floor and the rest of the classes are situated round the upper quadrangle. The school aims to provide a happy, secure and stimulated environment.
