Background:
Torbain Primary School is a large two building primary school towards the north-western outskirts of Kirkcaldy. The main building is of open plan design and consists of three storeys and an adjoining gym and games hall. The school first opened in the 1960s. The single storey infant building houses the nursery and four early years? classes. It also boasts a gym hall and a dining hall with a small stage. The school has a positive welcoming atmosphere, where all children and staff are valued. Excellent links with parents, local business and the community. Pupils play an active part in the decision making and are encouraged to take responsibility for own actions. Further more the school actively encourage poor learning, buddying and other contributions to enhance the school community.
